A Park Installation Proposal for Madison Square Park

Purpose
The Cloud is conceived as both an immersive experience and an educational initiative aimed at raising awareness about Solar Glass technology, specifically the Mitrex Photovoltaic system. This innovative glass, which functions as a solar panel, represents a significant advancement for contemporary architecture, particularly for buildings dominated by glass facades. The project poses a critical question: What if every building utilized Solar Glass? This inquiry inspired the creation of The Cloud.
Creation
This model was my first hands-on project, crafted with clear hand-cut acrylic. I meticulously joined the pieces at varying angles to ensure that the structure could capture maximum sunlight at any time of the day. This experience not only honed my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of how material manipulation can influence energy efficiency in design.
